Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said that their 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, “is a consequence of our performance, which wasn’t good enough”.
The Gunners suffered their second consecutive away defeat in the Premier League at Anfield, as Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge punished them clinically.It leaves Arsenal with three points from three matches, two places above the relegation zone.
Wenger said afterwards: “The result is a consequence of our performance which wasn’t good enough.”
“It was a very disappointing performance. Of course it was shocking but the performance on the day was disastrous.”
“There are some reasons behind it [the defeat] which we have to analyse. The emotions are big and very negative.”
“That’s part of the crowd’s feeling. If I’m the problem, I’m the problem. I believe we lose together & we want our fans to be together”
